Earth Science Week 2025
A Guide to Exploring Earth Science Week through STEM
Earth Science Week is a national celebration of the science that shapes our planet and our lives. From the minerals in your smartphone to the data behind your weather app, earth science is the invisible force powering modern life. It is the foundation of all STEM fields that explore our planet - geology, oceanography, cartography, environmental science and more.
This year’s theme, 'Earth Science is Everywhere', highlights how earth science helps us understand natural hazards, manage resources and build sustainable communities. Whether you are checking the time, ordering a pizza or planning a bushwalk, earth science is working behind the scenes.
Join the movement by exploring hands-on activities, hosting a science themed event or simply sharing your appreciation online. Earth Science Week is a chance to inspire curiosity, celebrate innovation and unlock a better future for all Australians through STEM.
